Irvine Branch Hosts Class #3 to Teach Seniors to Speak English on June 11, 2021

On June 11, 2021, the Irvine branch of AYLUS hosted another session of its new class to help teach seniors in local communities to speak English. Brian Song, Clayland Lee, and Asher Ding taught these seniors in a host of various methods to help them effectively retain given information.

Throughout the class, we covered many different materials and topics including teaching greetings, labeling fruits, and describing the weather. We also went over differing vowel sounds and the correct pronunciation for those. We covered a great amount of information, and we had the seniors practice creating sentences as well as talking with one another using the vocabulary that we taught them. We are very grateful to have this opportunity to reach them and help them expand their linguistic borders through the amazing language of English!

Volunteers: Brian Song (1 hrs), Clayland Lee (1 hr), Asher Ding (1.5 hr)
