On August 1st, 2026, the AYLUS Farmington Branch hosted an origami session at the Holiday Farmington Senior Center. There, volunteers taught residents how to fold a variety of different origami pieces, such as cranes, frogs, and crabs. Residents at the senior center had the opportunity to learn many different kinds of origami pieces and of different difficulty, and they were encouraged to take paper creations by the volunteers, as well. The event was both educational and fun, allowing residents to spend their afternoon learning a new skill and bring back a decoration to their rooms.
