Columbus Branch Hosted Seminar with Topic of Asian American Contribution on American History on May 30, 2021

In honor of Asian American Month, AYLUS members wanted to show their support for the Asian community by hosting a seminar with the topic of Asian American Contribution on American History. On May 30th, members Joseph and Nicole Lin presented slideshows about two documentaries they watched: “Carved in Silence” which depicted the immigration process through Angel Island and “Breaking Ground” which told stories of significant historical Asian American figures. Afterwards a discussion was hosted so that AYLUS members could voice their own opinions on the matter. AYLUS members Rachel Zhu, Patrick Wang, Max Wang, June Ni, Gavin Ni, and Angelika-Lili Susanto attended the seminar.
