On Thursday June 25th, from 11:00 – 12:00 PM, the Twin Falls branch volunteered with seniors at Grace Memory Care.
We spent our time chatting with our seniors while also playing Yahtzee. We conducted the game buy having a board to track all the points that the seniors earn as well as assisting them by gathering all the dice and placing it in the sack for them to roll. Every time they earned many points we celebrated their awesome rolls.
We enjoyed playing this game with them because it was super nice to see them cheerful and having fun and talking to each other. This experience even further helped us practice our communication skills and patience because in order to have a great time playing the game we had to be able to clearly communicate and work with the seniors. Overall we had a great time volunteering and playing Yahtzee with them and we enjoyed seeing how much fun the residents had.
Members who participated include Venya Sunkesula – 1 hour, Hadlie Human – 1 hour.
