AYLUS Syosset Set Up Composting Station 2&3 to Help the Environment (4/17/21, #3)

On 4/17/21, members of the AYLUS Syosset branch collaborated with AYLUS Manhasset branch to decrease food wastes by building two composters.

 

At this event, both branches each assembled a composter made out of recycled plastics, after the composters were assembled both branches began to fill up the containers with degradable materials such as food wastes, dead leaves and plants, cardboard and paper shreds. These materials were brought from the homes of the AYLUS participants. Simple acts such as composting will help combat food wastes and better the environment.

 

Participants at this event included Alan Huang(2 hours), Matthew Yang(2 hours), Francina Liu, and Gracie Wang.
