Irvine Branch Hosts 3rd Fall History Class on September 9, 2020

On September 9, 2020, volunteers from the Irvine branch of AYLUS hosted its third introductory history class for the fall session. We held the lesson on Zoom, and students, consisting of elementary and middle schoolers, had a great time participating.

In this class we talked about the country after the revolutionary war up until 1820. With the first five presidents, the idea of manifest destiny, and the war of 1812. We also added many more interactive elements such as asking them questions, more class content, and kahoots. Overall, the students enjoyed the lessons, and participation and kahoot scores indicate that the students greatly understand what we have talked about.

Students provided great answers, showed curiosity, and asked questions for clarification.
