On August 28st, 2020, AYLUS San Diego Branch organized the eight Basketball for All event. Through this event, AYLUS volunteers hope to spread their love of basketball during an unusual time where many people have been stuck inside their homes.
Due to current circumstances, many people are spending lots of time within their homes. So to stay healthy, AYLUS San Diego volunteers are providing basketball lessons to people who want to work on their game or just to have fun for free. All coaches have a vast amount of experience with both playing and teaching the sport. Anyone interested in getting into the sport or simply improving their skills may join the event as a student/player.
In this event, the volunteers taught the participating students a wide array of skills essential to playing basketball. Volunteers led the students through the following activities: Running, Layups, One-on-one Skills, Steal the Bacon, Lightning Defense Drills, and Dribbling.
The following volunteers participated in the 8th Basketball for All activity: Harry Li, Isaiah Dihn, Noah Ahooja
