On August 1, 2020, volunteers from the Irvine Branch of AYLUS hosted its Summer Learning Experience’s last math class. Participants in the class consisted of upper elementary school students and the class was conducted through the Zoom platform.
Before class, we held office hours. We had a few warmup problems and discussed them at the beginning of class. Then, we had a cumulative review where everyone played a very fun game that required the teamwork of each and every student. They had a great deal of fun playing the game and working together to earn points for their team, remembering material from previous classes.
