Sugar Land Branch Continues International Academic Lessons 9-17

Our 2nd unit from 4/27/2020 to 5/25/2020, has ended very quickly and the Sugar Land Branch Junior Support Program, led by Branch’s junior leader Alvin Zhou has continued to offer free lessons to Pre-K kids. Last unit, Alvin Zhou and Shaopan Gao provided the preschoolers phonic, math, and geography lessons. Later on, Erin H, Philina Zhou, Daniel Hu, and Derek Su have joined this wonderful program and we have started giving kids music theory lessons including solfege, music notes, rhythm, clefs, musical sign language, rests, and pitches. We love teaching kids and our goal is to have them have a wide variety of knowledge. COVID-19 can’t stop them to learn new things! All our six lessons are through Zoom, and we teach 30+ kids from Japan, Brazil, Canada, and the United States. Each of our classes are 45 minutes long, starting from 4:00 PM every Monday and Friday. Later this month, we moved on to Pre-K science. The topic includes 8 lessons including Weather; What to Wear During Different Weather, The Solar System, Earth, Plants and Animals; Plant Parts, Fossils; Layers of Earth, 5 Senses and Body Parts, and Eating Healthy; Sports.

The lessons took place on 4/27, 5/1, 5/4, 5/8, 5/11, 5/15, 5/18, 5/22, and 5/25.
