San Diego Branch organized 1st English for the Elderly activity on June 26th, 2019

On June 26th, 2019, San Diego students of AYLUS had the 1st English for the Elderly activity. The goal of activity is to help elderly men and women from China learn the basics of English so that they’re able to use them in their daily lives.

Through this activity, AYLUS volunteers were able to teach 13 elderly men and women common English phrases and sentences. Not only were the “students” able to improve their understanding of and ability to speak the English language, but the volunteers also improved their patience and confidence through this event.

The following students participated in the 1st English for the Elderly activity: Jonathan Backues, Sean Yuan, Liana Xie, Eric Lin, Ernest Lin
