Greater Princeton AYLUS Hosts Its 3rd Youth Benefit Concert to Honor First Respond Heroes Fighting against COVID-19 on January 15th, 2022

On January 15th, despite the threat of Omicron, the Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA) hosted its 3rd Youth Benefit Concert in New Jersey while following strict CDC guidance.

In 2019, GPA hosted 2 successful youth benefit concerts, one for Ms. Suwei who was battling cancer, and the other for Princeton First Aid & Rescue Squad (PFARS) to support its Campaign for the Future with a new headquarters. Our members worked hard to raise $5185 for Ms. Suwei and $5000 for PFARS.

Although COVID-19 pandemic had shut everything down for almost 2 years, GPA didn’t want to stop there and do nothing. Since 2020, our members have hosted nearly 90 Save a Life events to help people in need, with many fundraising and donation drives. In late 2021, we resumed our monthly music performance program for seniors. Now it’s time for us to resume our Youth Benefit Concert program to help save more lives.

Our 3rd Youth Benefit Concert raised $5600 (target was $5000+, thanks to our sponsors and friends) to show our appreciation to our local first respond heroes. Starting in January, GPA members have been using the collected funds to purchase hundreds of meals for EMS, First Aid & Rescue Squad, hospital doctors and nurses, and more!
