On July 22nd and 23rd, Raritan Branch volunteers returned to Butterfly Park for their Book Drive. On these two days, we set up a table and boxes for donations inside the park. During both days, we stayed at the park from 3 PM to 5 PM EST. In the end, we collected over 300 books, which exceeded our expectations.
To plan out this event, we had several meetings to discuss how we were going to spread information about the book drive, and where the event should be held.
We walked away from the event with high hopes for the children that will receive the books that we collected. Our objective for the event was to benefit people who might not have access to many books for their education, and that is exactly what we accomplished.
