In July, the Greater Princeton branch of AYLUS (GPA) reached out to the owner of a local business Aljon’s Pizza (64 Princeton Hightstown Road, West Windsor, NJ 08550, Phone 609-799-4915) for a fundraiser event.
Between July 12th and 18th, started by members Sarah Yan and Erick Yan, the one week fundraising event went successfully. By going out and supporting Aljon’s via phone order and in store order during the day, branch members and all local communities could enjoy delicious meals and support AYLUS.
During the week, the local pizza restaurant increased sales over several hundred dollars, and agreed to give back 10% of all orders back to the Greater Princeton AYLUS. The food fundraising has helped local small businesses during these tough times where Covid-19 has decreased sales while helping and spreading the words of AYLUS and the wonderful volunteering events to help build a better community.
Greater Princeton AYLUS will have another Fundraising event on Friday, August 6th at Panera Bread (510 Nassau Park Blvd, Princeton, NJ 08540) from 4 to 8 pm. With all these fundraising events, the local businesses, community and the Greater Princeton AYLUS get to know each other better, and grow stronger together.
