On Tuesday, August 4th, 2020, AYLUS Scottsdale donated a myriad of pantry snacks and essentials to the Hospice of the Valley. In addition to donating food, AYLUS Scottsdale also donated drinks and kitchen utensils. The Hospice of the Valley specializes in all aspects of providing a comfortable and pleasing existence for the terminally ill and so, in honor of their hard work and dedication, AYLUS Scottsdale decided to handwrite appreciation cards as well as donate. Each member who went contributed greatly to the quality of the event, ranging from communication with the hospital to gathering donations of food. At the event, in observance of the current health security protocol, all members wore Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) designed to protect both the staff and occupants of the hospice as well as each other. The members that participated in this event were Andrew Yang (2 hours), Shaw Hu (2 hours), Alex Zou (2 hours), Laura Wang (2 hours), Jessie Zhang (2 hours), Leona Wang (2 hours), Bridget Chen(2 hours), Logan Zhao (2 hours), and David Sun (2 hours).
