AYLUS Glen Head Branch Brings Intergenerational Connections to Life Through Music | October 25, 2026

On October 25, 2026, 11am-1pm, AYLUS Glen Head Branch student musicians visited our local senior center to share our musical talents through live piano, violin, cello, and vocal performances. Our music brought warmth and joy to the senior residents, creating a welcoming atmosphere filled with beautiful melodies and meaningful intergenerational connections.

Despite demanding academic schedules, challenging coursework, and hours of musical practice, our student volunteers dedicated their time and talents to serving the senior community. Through their performances, they demonstrated that music is more than an art form—it is a powerful way to express kindness, share emotions, and connect people across generations.

This initiative provides our young musicians with an opportunity to use our artistic abilities for a meaningful purpose while developing empathy, responsibility, and leadership through community service. AYLUS Glen Head Branch hopes to continue building lasting relationships with senior centers and bringing the comfort, inspiration, and happiness of live music to older adults. Through these ongoing efforts, we strive to create a more caring and connected community where every generation feels valued and appreciated.
