AYLUS Great Neck Branch Volunteered Farmers Market Fundraiser #20 10/18/2026

On 10/18/2026, AYLUS volunteers participated in Steppingstone Park’s many Mid-Autumn Festival events helping out the Great Neck Park District from 3:30 PM to 8:00PM.

Throughout the event, Aylus volunteers participated in multiple activities such as lantern making, making animal balloons, and face painting. This year instead of charging money for the balloons and face painting, it was free, which made it very  popular among parents and children. At the animal balloon station, many children asked for swords, dogs, flowers, hearts, and butterfly balloons. The face painting was very popular among younger children, many requested rainbows, animals, and flowers, etc. Lanterns were given out as a tradition for writing wishes and sending it out onto the water. Lanterns were really popular and ran out really quickly. AYLUS volunteers also had set up a stall which sold handmade crochet items, nee-dohs, ring toss, bracelets, keychains, etc. The profits made from selling these items will be donated to the nonprofit organization, Adventures in Learning, which helps underprivileged students and children with education, care, enrichment, and more.
