On October 18, 2026, the Morris Branch of the Alliance of Youth Leaders in the United States (AYLUS) partnered with Helping Hands to organize a meaningful winter coat donation initiative aimed at supporting local community members in need. As temperatures begin to drop and the colder months approach, access to warm clothing becomes increasingly important, especially for individuals and families facing financial challenges. Recognizing this need, Morris AYLUS members worked together to collect a total of 15 winter coats to help provide warmth and comfort to those who may otherwise struggle to obtain adequate winter clothing.
After gathering the donated coats, Morris AYLUS volunteers delivered all 15 coats to the designated distribution center at approximately 4:00 PM on October 18. The coats will be distributed through the community support network to individuals who can benefit from them during the upcoming winter season. This effort reflects the branch’s continued commitment to community service, compassion, and social responsibility.
The collaboration with Helping Hands highlights the importance of partnerships between volunteer organizations in addressing local needs. Although the donation consisted of 15 coats, each contribution represents an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone’s daily life. By participating in this initiative, Morris AYLUS members demonstrated how small acts of kindness can collectively create a positive impact.
Through projects like this winter coat donation drive, Morris AYLUS continues to encourage young volunteers to develop leadership skills, strengthen their sense of civic responsibility, and actively contribute to their communities. The branch looks forward to participating in additional service opportunities and continuing its mission of helping others. This successful initiative serves as a reminder that community involvement, generosity, and teamwork can bring warmth and hope to those who need it most.
