On Saturday, October 10, 2026, our members visited the memory care unit at The Blake to spend time with its residents.
The volunteers led the residents in a noodle bowl game. Since most residents in the memory care unit rely on wheelchairs and have limited mobility, the volunteers sat alongside them and helped them throughout the game.
This activity allowed the residents to practice hand-eye coordination and get some physical activity, supporting their physical and cognitive well-being. The visit was also meaningful for out volunteers, reinforcing the values of compassion and community service that AYLUS stands for.
