AYLUS Garden City volunteers returned to the Garden City Senior Center to assist local seniors with their phones and tablets as part of the branch’s ongoing Senior Technology Help program on 10/14/2026, 3pm-4:30pm.
During the session, student volunteers Luis Ye, Michael Geiger, Dalwin Dong, and Daniel Quinn worked one-on-one with seniors to answer questions and provide assistance with using their devices. By helping seniors navigate everyday technology, volunteers supported their ability to use digital tools with greater confidence and independence.
This recurring service activity provides students with opportunities to share their technology skills with older adults while developing patience, communication, and problem-solving skills. Through continued collaboration with the Garden City Senior Center, AYLUS Garden City hopes to help bridge the technology gap between generations and provide practical support to the local senior community.
