On September 21th, 2026, the AYLUS Foundation held another Arts & Crafts Workshop, where volunteers continued working on crochet projects to create handmade items for donation to hospitals, homeless shelters, and other community organizations.
During this workshop, we were happy to welcome a new member, Jessie, to the group. Since this was her first time participating in the workshop, the three experienced members worked together to help her learn the basic crochet techniques. They demonstrated the steps, shared useful tips from previous workshops, and helped Jessie whenever she had questions or difficulties.
As the workshop continued, Jessie gradually became more familiar with the crocheting process and was able to make steady progress on her project. The three returning members also had the opportunity to review and strengthen their own skills by explaining techniques and working alongside the new member. Everyone communicated, shared ideas, and helped one another throughout the session.
The teamwork made the workshop both productive and enjoyable. It was especially meaningful to see experienced volunteers use what they had learned in previous sessions to support a new member and help her become part of the group.
Overall, the workshop was a successful session that allowed everyone to continue improving their crochet skills while creating a welcoming and supportive environment. We look forward to working together on more handmade projects and preparing more items for future donations.
