Today at Fellowship Village, volunteers helped seniors with several technology questions. One senior needed assistance setting up a new Fire tablet, and the volunteer guided them through signing in with their Amazon account and installing word games on the device. Another senior needed help deleting contacts from their phone, and the volunteer showed them how to remove contacts they no longer needed. A senior also needed assistance connecting their hearing aid to their phone through Bluetooth, and the volunteer guided them through the pairing process so they could use the hearing aid with their device.
At today’s technology support session, volunteers helped seniors become more comfortable setting up devices, managing their phone contacts, and connecting technology through Bluetooth. Through patient, one-on-one guidance, residents gained practical skills that made their everyday devices easier to use and helped them become more independent. The session also provided an opportunity for volunteers and seniors to connect and strengthen the supportive community at Fellowship Village.
