On fateful Tuesday of the twenty fifth of August, in the hours of 2 pm- 4pm, AYLUS assembled at the Bryant Library once again. The reason for this congregation is for the nonprofit Nosh Delivers, an organization with the goal of making food more accessible. Our task was to decorate bags and create cards.
It was an absolute delight to spend our time volunteering, not only did we enjoy ourselves during the time that we had, there were also valuable skills and lessons that could be derived from our work. We learned to care for people and strengthen the community by taking time out of our days to do something considerate for others. By making these bags and cards from our heart and souls, our sweat and blood, we are able to produce dazzling art pieces and kindhearted messages. Not only that but the volunteers learnt about the creative process. The volunteers have demonstrated immaculate craftsmanship in merely two hours. They have all worked diligently and have proven that they are very devoted to their cause.
Volunteers include: Natalie Tsui (2 hrs), Ella Hu (2 hrs), Nina Zhang (2 hrs), Davina Lin (2 hrs), Sarah Zhang (2 hrs)
