On the afternoon of July 21 at 2:00 PM, AYLUS Morris Branch partnered with the Helping Hands Family Center to conduct our second Back-to-School Drive of the summer. This meaningful community service project was organized to help local children and families prepare for the upcoming school year by providing essential school supplies and new clothing.
With the generous support of our members and community donors, AYLUS Morris Branch collected a variety of items, including art supplies, folders, and brand new children’s clothing. These donations will help provide children with some of the essential materials and clothing they need to begin the new school year with confidence and excitement.
Before delivering the donations, AYLUS members worked together to organize and sort all of the collected items. Volunteers carefully grouped the school supplies and clothing to make the distribution process more efficient. On July 21, members delivered the donations to the Helping Hands Family Center and continued volunteering by helping organize and arrange the donated items at the center.
This project was especially meaningful because preparing for a new school year can be financially challenging for many families. By providing school supplies and new clothing, AYLUS volunteers helped reduce some of the financial burden on families and ensured that more children could start the school year with the resources they need.
AYLUS Morris Branch is grateful to the Helping Hands Family Center for the opportunity to collaborate on this important initiative. We also sincerely thank all of our members, families, and community supporters who contributed donations and time to make this drive successful.
Through this Back-to-School Drive, our members demonstrated the importance of youth leadership, teamwork, and compassion. We are proud that our volunteers not only collected and donated needed items but also dedicated their time to organizing the donations at the family center.
AYLUS Morris Branch looks forward to continuing our partnership with Helping Hands and supporting local families through future community service projects.
