On Thursday, May 21st, AYLUS volunteers gathered at the Great Neck Library Station Branch to help students with different subjects. Brian helped a student with a French project and French homework by reviewing vocabulary and grammar. Goldman worked with a student on reading comprehension and helped them answer questions based on a short passage. Brendan and Summer worked with students on ratios in math and English homework involving filling in the blanks. Meanwhile, Linzi helped a student practice spelling and work on math problems, and Siwoo tutored a student in math and helped explain difficult questions. Lastly, Junlin helped a student learn exponents and order of operations by going through problems step by step. Overall, the tutoring session was a good experience for both the volunteers and the students, and everyone worked hard and learned a lot.
