On Monday, May 4, members of AYLUS launched the first session at the Youth Initiative Group at Bristol Village.
This initiative is dedicated to creating meaningful intergenerational connections by engaging assisted living and memory care residents through conversation, interactive activities, and social enrichment.
During the pilot session, students spent time speaking with residents about their interests and future activity ideas, while also leading games such as chess, puzzles, and bingo. Residents shared enthusiasm for future programs including concerts, chess tournaments, and other community-building activities, helping establish the foundation for a long-term youth engagement program focused on connection, companionship, and well-being.
