The AYLUS Morris Branch partnered with Green Village United Methodist Church to organize a Mother’s Day donation drive supporting women and families in our local community.
Before Mother’s Day, our branch collected donations from neighborhood members, including women’s tote bags, scarves, cups, plates, and other essential household items. In total, we prepared 9 tote bags and 10 Mother’s Day gift sets for distribution.
On May 9 at 1:00 PM, right before Mother’s Day weekend, volunteers came together to clean, sort, organize, and pack the donated items. Each item was carefully checked and arranged into thoughtful gift packages to ensure they were ready for distribution.
After packing, volunteers transported and delivered the gift sets to Green Village United Methodist Church, where they were distributed to community members.
Through this service project, the AYLUS Morris Branch members participated in collecting donations, organizing supplies, preparing gift packages, and assisting with delivery. This initiative highlighted the importance of community support and how collective service efforts can make a meaningful impact on families in need.
