AYLUS Activity Report – Science4Kids at Huagen Chinese School
Weekend Science4Kids Class On Sunday, March 1st, the AYLUS Gainesville Branch hosted its latest Science4Kids workshop at Oak Hall School. Operating as a core component of the Huagen Chinese School’s weekend curriculum, the initiative brought together volunteers Brayden Yang and Nitya Rao, who each dedicated an hour to mentoring local youth. The session focused on transforming complex scientific theories into accessible, hands-on experiments for the young participants. By guiding students through interactive demonstrations and collaborative problem-solving, the volunteers emphasized the importance of curiosity and the scientific method. Each mentor provided one hour of direct instruction and curriculum preparation to ensure a high-quality learning experience. Through this initiative, the Gainesville branch continues to uphold the AYLUS commitment to community enrichment, sparking a lasting interest in STEM and empowering the next generation of young innovators.
