On November 29th, 2025, AYLUS Chapel Hill Branch members handcrafted heart pillows for cancer patients and developmental hearts for newborns at WakeMed. These soft fabric hearts are designed to comfort infants and cancer patients. With every stitch, the volunteers poured their time, care and compassion into a project that brought both comfort and hope to families in some of their most important moments. This heartwarming initiative not only provided tangible support to newborns, cancer patients and their families but also served as a powerful reminder of the strength of community.
Volunteers who participated in this event were Leah Yang (6 hours), Eric Sun (4 hours), Grace Gao (6 hours),and Andrew Zhao (6 hours).
