AYLUS Basking Ridge held its weekly iPad Club at Fellowship Village on 10/25/25, where members assisted seniors with a variety of technology questions. They helped seniors learn how to use their iPhones, including listening to and deleting voicemails, adjusting volume, and resetting voicemail passwords. Volunteers also guided participants on using Zoom meetings, changing website URLs, updating software, blocking certain emails, deleting unused apps, creating calendars, and even applying for a library card.
The session gave seniors the confidence to navigate technology more independently and stay connected with family, friends, and community resources. Beyond the technical skills, it offered a sense of accomplishment and empowerment, as well as meaningful social interaction with both volunteers and fellow participants. These moments of learning and encouragement help build a stronger, more connected community while enriching the daily lives of the seniors.
