AYLUS Great Neck Branch volunteers for Great Neck Park District (44th) 8/24/25

On Sunday, August 24th, members of AYLUS came to Kings Point Park from 12:30 pm-2:30 pm. The volunteers that came put in the effort and efficiency, and had managed to cover what needed to be worked on around the trail. Volunteers were given rakes that were used to flatten out the hiking trail by evening out soil, wood chips, roots, and removing stray branches. The benefits of flattening the hiking trail would allow people along the trail to stay safe and allow vehicles to navigate easier on the path.

Working tirelessly with a few breaks, the members worked hard to improve the trail to be more accessible to others. Wanting to achieve goals through their hard work in creating the park’s environment a more safe place for people that visit. The members of AYLUS will continue to help contribute in making King Point Park in not only the aesthetics of it but also with safety.
