AYLUS Great Neck Branch holds AAPI Event at Parkville Library 24th (7/5/25)

On Saturday, July 5th from 3:15-4:30, the AYLUS Great Neck volunteers helped kids do different types of activities at the Parkville Library like origami and crochet. Rebecca read the book ” Eyes that Kiss in the Corners” and Ryder read “A Taste of Home” to the children. The activities that this event provides can help kids be more creative, learn new skills, improve attention span, and motor skills.

Trying new things exposes people to new opportunities that can help them develop passions or hobbies that can help decide what they want to do in the future. Also, reading is important. Getting an opportunity to enjoy a new book will help with expanding vocabulary, improving memory, and boosting critical thinking skills.
