Chapel Hill Branch Performs for Seniors at Carol Woods on Sep 15, 2024

On Saturday, September 15, 2024, members of the AYLUS Chapel Hill Branch performed a diverse range of music at Carol Woods, a retirement community in Chapel Hill. The performance featured various pieces, including “This Is What Autumn Feels Like” on piano, Robert Schumann’s “Faschingsschwank aus Wien Op. 26,” a bourrée dance on violin, “Rondo alla Turca” on piano, the “Introduction and Polonaise” from Schumann’s “Arabesken”, and “Haydn Sonata No. 3” among others. The volunteers were thrilled to share their passion for music and provide the senior residents with an enjoyable and enriching experience. Our group plans to continue these performances on a monthly basis, hoping that these ongoing initiatives bring joy and artistic appreciation to the community’s elders.
