September is National Suicide Prevention Month, a critical reminder that we all have a role in looking out for loved ones, our community, and those affected by this tragic and leading cause of death.
On Saturday, September 14th, from 2:30 to 5:30pm, the Morris Branch members of AYLUS Volunteered for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s OUT OF THE DARKNESS WALKS at Cougar Field in Chatham, NJ. Members helped set up the tents, signs, tables and chairs, they also manned the activity table for the event. Since 2002, millions have participated, uniting communities nationwide to raise awareness and funds. These efforts support educational programs, advocacy, and groundbreaking research aimed at saving more lives.
