AYLUS Syosset Participates in SyoAccess Event to Cultivate New Members, 9/8/24

Reported by Alyssa Huang

On Sunday, 9/8/24, members of AYLUS Syosset set up their own booth at a Syosset High School-oriented event hosted by SyoAccess at Woodbury Park. SyoAccess was founded by Syosset High School students to provide awareness for Syosset-based youth groups such as Jump On the Clouds (web blogging group), Girls Who Prove (supports young women in STEM), Water for Life (raises money to build better water infrastructure in areas in need), Fortune Star Band (youth-led orchestra/band) and others. Their mission is to highlight groups like ours and provide students with unlimited options for volunteer and community-based activities. AYLUS attended this event to introduce our mission and our biggest events to more people and students in the Syosset community. Posters were made by Alyssa Huang to show our most popular events including environmental, fundraising, civic engagement and other events. AYLUS members talked to parents and students who were interested about these events. The SyoAccess showcase was a success for all groups involved.
