On August 11th, 2024, Murrieta AYLUS helped at local senior centers.
At Torrey Pines Senior Living: Arriving while the residents were enjoying some orchestral music, the volunteers joined them in dancing. They then helped the residents get acclimated and start their exercise. After some stretches and breathing exercises, the residents were given a choice of potato chips or pudding for their snack. The volunteers helped with pouring the chips and opening pudding cups, then pouring juice and water for the residents to hydrate. After doing some light sing a long, the volunteers led a pipe cleaner art activity where they made hearts, flowers, butterflies, and animals to glue down to paper. After spending some time with the crafts, the residents were taken to their lunch.
