Murrieta AYLUS Hosts a Beach Cleanup (24th) (8/4/2024)

Reported by Caien(Daisy) Chen :

On August 4th, AYLUS members cleaned up their local beach. Due to the time period and the location being a hotspot for tourists, the members immediately noticed the extra trash that was on the street. They quickly went to work, sweeping the grass for any plastic pieces or any loose garbage. Soon, they stumbled upon a pile of trash that was near the cliffside which they disposed of before it blew away in the harsh wind. Making it past a crowd of tourists and beach going locals, they finally made it to the playground where they climbed around the bushes to reach a plastic can and more bags. Then, they noticed a plastic cup stuck inside a canyon. One of the members carefully made their way down the canyon, using their grabbers to latch onto plastic cup. Lastly, the went down to the beach and the parking lot where they found a packet of spilt salt and pepper packets. They dumped all the trash they had collected into the trash can.
