On 7/10/2024 Members of AYLUS Syosset teaches basketball skills and rules to elementary students. These elementary schoolers and even some middle schoolers consisted of grades from 1st – 6th grade. During the time the volunteers thought the elementary and middle schooler’s the basics of basketball. These basics include Dribbling, Shooting, Passing. Every student progressed equally and some may have some more or less skill than others but all students progressed and worked on their fundamentals. Whether these fundamentals were dribbling or shooting they are all working towards their way of becoming proficient and well versed in the sport of basketball. Throughout the 2 hours the volunteers also thought well known basketball moves such as layups, jump shots and others.
