At the beginning of July, AYLUS members put out a community announcement about collecting and donating crayons. AYLUS members wanted to collect these crayons for the Crayon Drive to ship the crayons to NCRP to help keep the crayons out of landfills. During the week, community members got in contact about when and where the crayons could be picked up. After the community members scheduled a pick up date, AYLUS members picked up many crayons from community members. Overall, the event was successful with total 30lb crayons collected.
Lots of thanks to the great support from UTD Gong Fu Panda Chinese Language and Culture Summer Camp for collecting and donating used crayons from the camp.
