On Friday, July 5th, three competitive swimmers and volunteers from AYLUS Pearland – Yurong, Yushan, and Jordana taught swimming lessons to community kids. This is the 8th lesson in a 9-week-long series.
In the beginning, Yurong and Jordana warmed up Berry and Andy by swimming half-25 freestyle and then switching to kick. Afterward, Yurong and Jordana worked on their butterfly and practiced using their arms and breathing. They also worked on pushing off the wall. Andy and Berry learned it very fast. Yurong and Jordana switched to try to practice IM (All the strokes). They didn’t get it at first but then did well when practicing more.
