On May 12, 2024, Murrieta AYLUS volunteered at local senior centers.
At Torrey Pines Senior Living: The volunteers arrived to distribute Mother’s Day cards to the female residents, joining them in reading the contents. They helped the residents with their exercise, stretching out their limbs and joints, before helping the residents prepare a snack. They distributed macarons and poured juice and water for them, helping them pick what flavors they wanted. The volunteers crushed up banana with water to make a purée, then fed one of the seniors who was unable to eat solids. Afterwards, they read the daily chronicle and played word games, before taking the residents to lunch.

On May 12th, 2024, Murrieta AYLUS members played piano for the seniors.
Since it was Mother’s Day, members made gift bags for the manager/supervisors of the senior center and brought flowers and chocolates for the seniors. Most seniors were gone due to the holiday but there were still a couple that joined members. After members finished playing, they passed out 2 roses to each senior that they saw and offered them some chocolates. They also stayed after to get to know each senior since it was a smaller audience this time.
