3/20/2024:
On 3/20/2024, Aylus Great Neck hosted its largest tutoring session yet in the Great Neck Library Station Branch. Our four volunteers, Ruiqi Liu, Jason Zeng, Xingzhi Li and Zixi (Cici) Zhang arrived at the library at around 4:30PM.
Two of us, Ruiqi Liu and Xingzhi Li, stayed with four of our students to help them read and write. We had students from the first grade to the fifth grade, who all were able to do some appropriate reading for their grade level. The first graders went through picture books, while our fifth grader worked on ELA reading passages.
Our other two volunteers, Zixi Zhang and Jason Zeng, played games of Scrabble and Uno with two of our students. They had a lot of fun with both games and learned how to play along the way.
After about an hour, all of us said our goodbyes and left.

3/21/2024:
On 3/21/2024, Aylus held a tutoring session in the Great Neck Library Station Branch. Three volunteers, Athena Liu, Isabella Qian, and Swana Tang arrived at the library at around 4:30 and helped a student with reading and pronunciation. One volunteer, Athena Liu, read simple books and tried their best to help with correcting pronunciation. The session lasted around one hour, from 4:30pm to 5:30pm. As we finished a couple books we played the board game Guess Who. The student had a lot of fun and both the student and volunteers enjoyed the tutoring session
