On March 2, 2024, despite the rain, members of AYLUS Oyster Bay visited Orchard Estate of Woodbury to perform a concert for the elderly. Beginning with the National Anthem, the band performed choral pieces such as “Lonesome Warrior,” “Sea of Stars,” and “Soul Meets Body,” accompanied by a variety of instruments including violin, cello, viola, keyboard, guitar, drums, saxophone, and more. Following this, a quartet featuring violin, cello, and flute played “New Spring Happiness,” followed by solo performances of “Lachen un Weinan” and “Batti Batti, oh bel Masetto,” a duet of “Dancing Queen” and “A Thousand Years,” and a violin solo of “Amazing Grace.” Our performance received enthusiastic praise and thunderous applause from the residents, and seeing their happy smiles filled us with pride for our team.
Gratitude to the following 25 young volunteers, totaling 50.5 volunteer hours collectively.
