On 1/6/2024, Aylus Great Neck hosted its Scrabble games for students and parents learning English. We met at the Great Neck Library Station Branch at 3:00 PM.
Our two volunteers, Kevin Zhang and Francie Xia played the Scrabble with the student and his parent to expand their vocabulary. With the help of the board game, we taught them the words they didn’t know.
We played about an hour, at 4:00PM we said our goodbyes and left.

1/7/2024
On 1/7/2024, Aylus Great Neck continued to host its Scrabble games for students learning English. Since the library was closed, we met again in the apartment complex of one of our volunteers at 9:00AM.
We played on the student’s copy of Scrabble for about an hour. Our volunteers Ruiqi Liu and Kevin Zhang continued to use an online dictionary as well as their own vocabularies to play words on the board and teach our student the words.
After the hour, we said goodbye and left.
