On Sunday, December 31, Murrieta AYLUS members lended a hand to a local senior center.
Arriving in time for the resident’s music time, the volunteers sang with them while helping some of the residents with odds and ends. They gathered ice for a pitcher of ginger ale to serve to the residents, then opened bags of chips for the residents to enjoy as a light snack. As the snack was cleared away, the residents were led through a stretch and exercise to be limber for the rest of the day. The residents and volunteers played some New Year’s trivia to round out the morning before the residents were taken to the dining hall for lunch.
