On Sunday, November 5th, AYLUS San Clemente Branch Members Volunteered at 2nd Clean Up Our Community at the Esencia Sports Park and its nearby trail in Rancho Mission Viejo. Members first started at the park by picking up trash laying on the ground and in planters which ranged from plastic spoons to empty bottles. After all trash in the Sports Park was gathered, members then made their way to trails surrounding the park and continued to survey the trails and plants surrounding it for any trash. Since Halloween just ended, a lot of the trash found were plastic candy wrappers.
Any plastic bottles found were sorted out and recycled while other trash was disposed of properly. All members were happy having been able to help the environment.
The members who participated are Elena Hsieh (2 hours), Laura Liu (2 hours), Alexa Leitner (2 hours), and Edward Leigh (2 hours).
Reported by Laura Liu.
