West Essex AYLUS hosted an East Egg Hunt event for special needs children in Livingston NJ.
On April 7th and 8th, West Essex members shopped at local stores including ShopRite, Dollar Tree and FiveBelows for easter eggs, candies, toy gifts and food supplies. Then, members met to fill the eggs, discuss event schedule and assign tasks.
On April 9th, while waiting for all the participate kids, members played bubbles with children to warm them up and keep them in the waiting area. Then members hid eggs in the back yard, shadowed participate kids for their egg hunts. After hunting eggs, members sit with children to count their eggs and check out what is inside the eggs. During lunch time, members served hot dogs and sliders. In the afternoon, members played table tennis and basket ball with participating kids.
