Over the long Easter weekend, our Branch decided to host our first fundraising bake sale, selling books, cotton candy, brownies, lemonade, and bracelets during the event. Each of the products was prepared and made ahead of time, with the bracelets all handmade with stones and a center heart piece, brownies and lemonade made ahead of time, and the cotton candy created from a cotton candy machine. Since the cotton candy machine required an outlet we had a difficult time deciding on a location, as the outlet was in a more discreet location compared and was on the side instead of at the entrance. Each of our leaders worked hard with Jenny leading advertising and cotton candy training and Bruce leading supplies and accounting. Following their lead we all took different positions creating more cotton candy, mixing lemonade, assisting, or keeping track of money.

Although organizing the event took much effort and communication, it seemed to be all worth it in the end. We raised over $150 considering supply expenses have been paid. 66 of those dollars were in tips showing how much people supported our cause. Great job to everyone that participated!

The following members earned 6 hours for fundraising: Jenny Wang, Bruce Wu, Brandi Wu, Emily Yin, Amanda Yin, Vicky Zhao, Hubery Pai, Chloe Lin, Natalie Lin and Daniel Wang.
