On Saturday, October 17th, members of the Great Neck AYLUS branch hosted an AAPI event for kids at the Great Neck Main Library from 3:45 to 5:00 PM. The activities that were held included story reading plus arts & crafts, with crochet, in addition to paper crafts offered to the kids. To start out the event, Goldman Tian, Nathan Li, and Rebecca Xu read three story books to the children. After reading, volunteers Goldman Tian, Nathan Li, and Andrew Li, Rebecca Xu, and Jolynn Li helped kids with paper crafts. Volunteer Christina Pan taught arts & crafts at the same time. Finally, Rainie Cheng and Victoria Xu showed kids the basics of crocheting. Overall, the session was rich in knowledge and creativity for the kids, while remaining fun and enjoyable. We thank anyone who came and look forward to our next event!
