On October 12, 2026, 11:30am-1pm, the AYLUS Glen Head Branch volunteers, visited Sunrise Senior Center to share the joy of music with senior residents through a meaningful community service performance.
Through our heartfelt musical performances, we used our talents to bring happiness, comfort, and companionship to the seniors. Our music created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, brightened the residents’ day, and provided an opportunity for connection across generations. Each performance was more than just music—it was our gesture of kindness, respect, and appreciation for the older members of our community.
Music has a unique power to bring people together, evoke cherished memories, and uplift the human spirit. By sharing our musical gifts, we demonstrated that even a simple performance can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life. This experience also encouraged us to develop compassion, social responsibility, and a deeper understanding of the importance of serving others.
We, the AYLUS Glen Head Branch volunteers, are proud to promote community engagement through music and intergenerational service. We hope to continue bringing more student musicians and senior residents together, creating lasting connections and spreading warmth, joy, and kindness through the universal language of music.
