Event 161: AYLUS Morris Branch Partners with Helping Hands Family Center to Donate Halloween Costumes in October 2026

On October 12, 2026, members of the AYLUS Morris Branch partnered with Helping Hands Family Center to support local families by collecting Halloween costumes donated by the community. The collected costumes were delivered to the family center at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday morning, October 12.

Halloween is an exciting time for children, filled with creativity, imagination, and the joy of dressing up as their favorite characters. However, some families may face financial challenges that make purchasing Halloween costumes difficult. Through this community collection drive, AYLUS Morris Branch aimed to help make Halloween more accessible and enjoyable for children and families in need.

AYLUS volunteers helped gather donations from community members and coordinate the delivery to Helping Hands Family Center, ensuring that the costumes could reach families who would benefit from them. This initiative also encouraged community members to share gently used costumes, giving them a second life while reducing waste and promoting reuse.

By working with Helping Hands Family Center, AYLUS Morris Branch continued its commitment to community service and supporting families facing challenges. Although a simple costume may seem like a small gift, it can bring excitement, confidence, and happy memories to a child during the Halloween season.

Through this partnership, AYLUS Morris Branch hopes to inspire more people to participate in local volunteer initiatives and demonstrate how small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference in the community.
